O V E R L A P S

This is an ongoing story about wild rebel women

retaining their strong power within.

Women who are still denied their full expression.

So they are trapped between two realms,

overlapping and fighting inside themselves,

while they struggle to be whole.

And yet they dare to speak and write and be

out of the cage neatly carved for them.

Feel them under the layers and connect.

OVERLAPS speaks of the harsh and conflicting coexistence of what is socially expected and what is true to women’s lives and personal development.

It’s an ongoing project inspired by real women’s stories and struggles, starting from myself.

The storytelling is relevant to each woman narrated, but aims to offer a sisterly mirror where all women may find resonance and bonding.

Providing diverse images of how a woman may be and look like, it reminds us there is no such a thing as the woman but rather millions of women, each with her own peculiar way to be and feel and think. Leading us all on an evolutionary path towards collective awareness.
