I make art to celebrate life and repair shame-oppression-abuse.
Unveil is my motto.
I’m on a quest for meaning and wonder.
I long for closeness and depth. In order to feel, touch and connect.
I’m a close-up lover, delving into details I find fresh views and through abstract I transform reality.
I’m a multidisciplinary artist as I need to express in different ways to feel whole.
Art is life and life is art.
Necessary for everyone, it should be available to anyone.
BIO
I am based in Rome and West Cork.
My art practice explores the interlacing dynamics of womanhood, relationships, and time through an ongoing experimentation with diverse mediums and techniques.
Nature serves me as my teacher and inspiration.
Alongside my studio work, I have collaborated extensively with institutions, worked on cinematic productions, and taught visual arts in higher education.
I have been commissioned for five public works: a sculpture (2019 - Municipality of Rome);
a photography project and an installation (2014 - FAO, Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations);
a photography project and a documentary film (2013 - GNAMC, Italian National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art).
I have had two solo exhibitions: GESTURES (2023 - Oasis Gallery, Ballydehob, Ireland - monoprint and painting);
and OVERLAPS (2022 - Pastificio Cerere, Rome, Italy - photography and installation).
Additionally, my artworks in diverse mediums have been exhibited in numerous venues throughout Europe and Asia.
My short movies have been screened and awarded prizes at international film festivals across Italy and Ireland, and my artwork is featured in numerous publications and exhibition catalogues.
Notably, my poetry was published in Women Out Of Joint (2018), an eBook celebrating the opening of the Carla Lonzi archive at GNAMC, curated by the International Association of Women Philosophers (IAPh) editorial staff and published by GNAMC.
Most recently, I was an artist-in-residence at Working Artist Studios (WAS), Ballydehob, Ireland in 2025 and 2026.

PUBLIC ART COMMISSIONS
2019 - HAZEL - Municipality of Rome
Assemblage sculpture for outdoor installation: Iron, copper, wood, acrylic, rust.
Artwork inspired and dedicated to the amazing singer, musician and activist Hazel Scott (1920-1981), erased from collective memory for her advocacy of black people's rights, particularly women.
Public sculpture work funded and commissioned in 2019 by the Municipality of Rome for the project Donne Stradarole, against gender discrimination and permanently installed at Parco Caduti del Mare, inside the historical Garbatella district.
2014 - Right to Food Guidelines +10 - FAO (Food and Agricolture Organization of the United Nations), Rome.
In the context of the celebration of the Ten-Year Retrospective on the Right to Food Guidelines, FAO presented an art exhibition organized in collaboration with the Rome University of Fine Arts (RUFA).
Collective installation: assemblage of letterpress printing and polychrome woodcut.

This project is the result of a collaboration between Rome University of Fine Arts (RUFA) and Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London. The work was realized at the International Centre "Opificio della Rosa" (Montefiore Conca, Rimini, Italy) while Carta Fabriano - Fedrigoni SpA, Compagnia degli Inchiostri and Città di Mondovì - Museo Civico della Stampa kindly sponsored the realization of this work of art and provided all the material needed for its realization.

The photographic part of the exhibition is divided in a documentary photography section and a black and white section, with a special post production technique. Selected photographs are part of artists’ specific portfolios on the issue of the right to food.

Co-author and set photographer for the documentary on Marcel Duchamp commissioned by GNAMC (Italian National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art) within the framework of the centenary celebrations of the first Ready Made by the artist (Bicycle wheel, 1913).
